Well we are at somewhat of a standstill right now in our journey. We just arrived here in Bali a little while ago and the plan was to travel slowly through Indo to Papua New Guinea and there build a school. But it looks as though this is going to be extremely difficult and very expensive. So apparently there are no flights from here to PNG unless we go back through Australia. Which would cost around three thousand for us to do that. So now we are looking into taking a shipping route that leads us from Dempansar to Jayapura. Then from there we would have to somehow charter a boat into PNG and then take transport of somekind to our destination in PNG. This is all a lot to consider and pray about. Our desire is to be in the will of God wherevere that leads us and whatever that cost may be. We are aware of the many different ministries here in Indo as well as all around South East Asia that we can get involved with. But we are truly seeking the Lords direction for what to do. So please we ask that anyone reading this would pray for wisdom and discernment for the three of us. That we would know without a shadow of a doubt where our next steps should be. We are stoked for the unknown adventures that lay before us and what God has in store over the next little while. Thank you so much for your prayers, we look forward to seeing where they take us. Hey Guys! It's Amanda. I have never done this and i dont know if this will work but please let me know somehow if this got through to you guys. I finally read through your postings and I am SO PROUD of you three, for your faith and your devotion. You encourage me and spur me on so much. Reading about your journey has left me thinking many times about life and how God wants us to live and treat His children, also about how little faith i have and find it so easy to complain. This week i have had your words ringing in my ears as i go through my day, challenging me to walk as He walked. You boys are so blessed by our Father and are amazing workers for His kingdom. I am so proud to know you and call you friends. I love you all and am amazed at how God is moving in your lives. You are in my prayers and thoughts all the time. Things will work out with getting to where you need to go next. Just have patience. THat probably seems so fickle coming from me but He has you in His hands. Let me just update you on life super quickly. Shelly: engaged, getting married July 7, 2007. So if your in the country please come and embarress her. She'll probably be moving to Red Deer in the summer. School and work are my life and it's all good. Nick is good too, incase you were wondering. And no, we're not engaged. Don't worry ;) We are on the leadership team at our C and C and that has been cool getting to know some people and our pastor, who is so rad is such and influence in my life. After this semester, I'll be moving back home at the end of April and then...you guessed it...off to camp. Nick is the program director and I'll be waterfront again. Our friends Curt and Tara are the new directors and i think it's going to be a rad summer. But right now i'm just trying to get through the winter and keep my head up as it can get kind of depressing sometimes. WEll i'm off, so keep persevering and be blessed my friends. I love you all and can't wait to see where God will bring you next. Love Amanda
PS. Jordan, Chandra, the girl who almost came to your house for thanksgiving, says hi!

Hi there! I understand from Kenton's and Daniel's VERY brief e-mails that travel from Indonesia to Papua New Guinea has been difficult (how they got there we have no idea) and internet services are scarce (maybe nonexixtent in Ukarumpa PNG--I'm not sure) Just as they have asked for prayer from you all for wisdom and guidance, I'm also asking you to pray for wisdom, guidance, and safety for them, as they seek above all else to follow God's will. Humbly, and in Jesus Name I ask. Mom K.,
Daniel emailed me a few days ago saying that it is extremely expensive to phone and that internet access is very limited. This is what he told me about their travels to Papua New Guinea: "We took a flight to Jayapura, a tiny town in Indonesia. Then we spent a day getting our visas. We took a bus across the border, got on a bus to go an hour into a town called Vanimo. It is a beach town paradise really. We got stranded there for 4 days because our flight got cancelled twice and then was late yesterday. So we took this tiny plane south to another city in PNG and then today took two buses into the mountains. The bridge broke so we had to walk accross the river and I almost lost all my luggage in the river. It was waist high and really, really strong. Then we got on another bus and then a flat bed truck to get to the town up in the mountains called Ukarumpa."
He said they were starting work the next day but he never mentioned exactly what they were going to do. So yes, continue to pray for them. Hoping to hear from them again soon!!
